What do we do to be a great christian teacher

Col 3:23- 24 ~ 23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Here are simple steps that you might follow:

1. Our CORE BUSINESS is to Teach, right?
>> Many teachers are like rocking chairs, always in motion but going NOWHERE..
~1st thing to do is knowing what need to be done (e.g cares for students in need)
~ Remember that students is not a cold enrolment statistics but a flesh and blood, human being with feelings and emotions like what we have in ourselves..

Deut 32:2 ~ Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.. (Teach with all your heart..)

2. As a teacher, we have to be the Example (Role Model)
~ How to be a good example?
1 Thess 5:13-18 ~
13 Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other.
14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone.
15 Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
16 Rejoice always,
17 pray continually,
18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. [Praise HIM as HE choose you to be one of the teachers, to be HIS missionaries..]

3. Appreciation.. Do appreciate all the things that surround you, especially your students!
Proverb 18:21 ~ 21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
~ What we say is actually very IMPORTANT.. Think before you talk, as what we will say has a greater impact on our students.. Once you say something bad about them, who know, it will be forever memory for them? And it will lead to
-ve way of life? "Do not complain, but do encourage them" (Source: UNKNOWN :P)

4. Commited (Very Important! Hahaha)
There are 3 types of people..:
i) Those who MAKE THINGS HAPPEN
ii) Those who only WATCH THINGS HAPPEN
iii) Those who HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT WHAT HAPPEN..

~Ask yourself, you want to be what kind of person? ^^
~"As a person, I cannot change the world, but I can change the world of a person" (Paul Shane Spear)
~How Jesus teach, is one of the very good example for us..

Matt 9:33, 35-36 ~
33 And when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.” ,
35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.
36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
~ He graduates in PhD..

P - Preaching, H - Healing, D - Deliverant..

5. Humurous..
~ Make your life fun with lots of humurous.. ^^

PTL - Praying, Teaching, Loving

Bloom where you are planted ^^ [A true test of character is whether we wilt or bloom in these places. An example of this is Esther. Esther is a remarkable book. Do read it ^^]

2 Tim 4:2 ~ 2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

Gal 6:9 ~ 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Hebrew 12:1 ~ 1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

Josh 1:9 ~ 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Letters To God Theatrical Trailer

A heartfelt tale of inspiration, hope and redemption, Letters to God is the story of what happens when one boys walk of faith crosses paths with one mans search for meaning—the resulting transformational journey touches the lives of everyone around them.

Tyler Doherty (TANNER MAGUIRE) is an extraordinary eight-year-old boy. Surrounded by a loving family and community, and armed with the courage of his faith, he faces his daily battle against cancer with bravery and grace. To Tyler, God is a friend, a teacher and the ultimate pen pal—Tylers prayers take the form of letters, which he composes and mails on a daily basis.

The letters find their way into the hands of Brady McDaniels (JEFFREY S.S. JOHNSON), a beleaguered postman standing at a crossroads in his life. At first, he is confused and conflicted over what to do with the letters. Overtime he begins to form a friendship with the Doherty family getting to know not just Tyler but his tough, tender yet overwhelmed mom (ROBYN LIVELY), stalwart grandmother (MAREE CHATHAM) and teen brother Ben (MICHAEL CHRISTOPHER BOLTEN) -- who are each trying to stand strong against the doubts that come with the chaotic turn their lives have taken.

Moved by Tylers courage, Brady realizes what he must do with the letters, a surprise decision that will transform his heart and uplift his newfound friends and community in an exhilarating act of testament to the contagious effect of one boys unwavering faith against the odds.

Inspired by a true story, Letters to God is an intimate, moving and often funny story about the galvanizing effect one childs belief can have on his family, friends and community.
